About WRCCWhat is the Career Center?The Career Center is a regional career and technical school providing a diverse selection of career preparation programs for ALL students attending Leland & Gray High School, Twin Valley High School, Bellows Falls Regional High School, Austine School, Hinsdale High School, and Brattleboro Union High School. What is required to participate in a Career Center program?Admission to ANY Career Center program is by application only. This includes
all Pre-Tech, Half Day, Full Day and related programs such as the Youth Career
Awareness Program (YCAP). All applicants must meet Vermont State eligibility
criteria. StudentsHow much time will I spend at the Career Center?Choosing a WRCC regular program may mean you spend 90 -120 minutes a day (called a half day program) or 240 minutes (called a full day program) at the Career Center and you may be eligible to take academic courses here at our host school, Brattleboro Union High School. Can I still participate in sports and other extra-curricular activities?Yes, You may continue to participate in sports and extra curricular activities at your home high school. Are internships available?Qualified students will have the opportunity to participate in Work-based learning through cooperative education, internships, and mentoring programs. Can someone help me with course scheduling?WRCC member school counselors will assist students in developing schedules that meet local graduation requirements and engage the career development process. The Career Counselor (Anne Doran) at WRCC will collaborate with the member schools and students to enhance course selections that are relevant and supportive of the student’s career and technical educational plan.
