Career Center Guidelines

The following guidelines are to be followed when referring to the career center in any and all communications. We appreciate your careful review of these guidelines. The Career Center has gone through many changes the past couple of years and it is important that our ‘branding’ be consistently represented by all our partners. Over the next 12 months the Windham Regional Career Center will be marketing and promoting itself as distinctive from the High School and focused on regional workforce development for all citizens.

Proper Name:

Windham Regional Career Center. Please use this full name in all communications referring to the Career Center. Subsequent references in the same document may use WRCC (preferred) or Career Center.

Improper:

“The Career Center at Brattleboro Union High School”. This is improper because it does not recognize the Career Center as a separate school, nor does it honor the regional focus. It improperly leaves the impression that the Windham Regional Career Center is a part of the High School. It is not. Brattleboro High School is a member school of the WRCC along with Leland & Gray; Twin Valley, and Bellows Falls.

Improper:

“The Brattleboro Career Center” is improper for the reasons stated above.

Please note the Hideaway Restaurant is part of the Windham Regional Career Center, not Brattleboro High School.

Calling 802-451-3900 during business hours will reach Joyce Rathbun, Administrative Assistant. If Ms. Rathbun is unable to answer the phone, a menu of options (including a staff directory) will be offered. After 4:00 p.m. 802-451-3900 will offer a voice-mail menu of options. Direct lines are accessible after regular hours and also offer voice-mail options.
