Windham Regional Career Center offers adult technical education programs both on-line and in the classroom or shop. Classes typically meet in the evening, while on-line students enjoy the benefit of accessing course from home and studying at their own pace. For those interested in on-line courses, but may not have adequate home computer access or just want to be guided through the process, facilitated courses are available. This is done in a computer lab with a trained person available to guide students through the on-line instruction system. On-line course generally run for 6 weeks and require approximately 24 hours to complete. On-campus evening Adult Education programs typically range from 8 to 32 hours of face-to-face instructional time running 4 to 8 weeks. Certificates of Completion are provided.
Over 300 on-line courses start once each month. Select the “Online Instruction Center” link on the left to access the Windham Regional Career Center online instructor facilitated course catalog. Sign-up and payment are easily accomplished on-line, or by contacting our office.
On-campus evening courses are held in the fall and spring. Use the calendar on the right to see our on-campus schedule. On-campus courses incorporate competencies that are required in today’s workforce such as: AutoCAD, Fiber Optics Technology, Basic Automotive Mechanics, Warehousing and Logistics. Other courses that have proven to be popular include Woodworking, Calligraphy, Cake Decorating, Drawing and Quilting.
Windham Regional Career Center can also provide local employers with the training they require to maintain a skilled workforce. Employers in need of specialized training should contact our office.
