Open to: Grades: 12, 11 Credits: 16 Terms: Full Year This program centers on the actual building of a house. Over a one-year period students experience the different phases of building construction from the excavation and layout of the site through interior finish work.
Carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry constitute the major segments of the project.
Students will be eligible for certification through the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Required:Career Center Application
Prerequisites:
Recommended: Mechanical Drawing, Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II, Physics. Notes:
This class meets BOTH Block 2 and 3.
