Overview:

This entry level course introduces students to the basic knowledge needed in all areas of engineering in PLTW and teaches problem-solving skills using the design development process. Students will work with 3D modeling software in developing design concepts and engineering and architectural drawings. Students will learn basic drawing and design skills that will lead to advanced modeling skills in the completion of a comprehensive final project. Topics will include the history of engineering, design development, advanced modeling skills, reverse engineering, and engineering in the global workplace.

Open to grades 10-12 (and 9th grade STEM academy completion track students)
This course may also be offered for optional college credit.
