This survey course exposes students to major concepts they'll encounter in a post-secondary engineering course of study. Topics include mechanisms, energy, statics, materials, and kinematics. They develop problem-solving skills and apply their knowledge of research and design to create solutions to various challenges, document their work and communicate solutions. Students will use our POE/CIM lab to create models for testing concepts using VEX robots, tensile tester, and simulation software.

Open to grades 10-12 (and 9th grade STEM academy completion track students)
This course may also be offered for optional college credit.
