Along with developing foundational math and English skills, students will learn and practice proper safety habits and the soft skills that are so necessary for success in multiple Technical Career Pathways in the twenty first century. These skills will be put into practice in the operation of a woodworking business. Here students will create, design and construct a multiplicity of products to be sold to the public, many of these being customized contracted projects. Students will also learn the basic skills needed for the successful operation of a small business, including skills related to marketing, proposals, contracts and record keeping.
