Along with developing foundational math and English skills, students will learn and practice proper work and safety habits and the soft skills that are so necessary for career success in the twenty-first century. These skills will be put into practice in the operation of a woodworking business, where students will help to create, design and construct a multiplicity of products to be sold to the public. Students will also learn the basic skills needed for the successful operation of a small business, including marketing, writing of proposals/contracts and record keeping. Students must bring a charged Chromebook to every class. Students taking the class for the first time will be given acceptance priority.
