Principles of Biomedical ScienceCLPB7304

Duration: Semester


Students will explore biology concepts through the study of human diseases. Students will work collaboratively and independently to determine the factors that led to the death of a fictional person and investigate lifestyle choices and medical treatments that might have prolonged the person’s life. The activities and projects introduce students to human physiology, medicine and research processes. Note that this is a course within the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) sequence of Biomedical Science courses and that a significant amount of work will be conducted online. There will be regular homework in this course including reading, organization of a binder, and maintenance of a laboratory notebook.
