When I went to college there was no way I was going to be a teacher. So I decided to major in history because I loved it and management because my father asked me if I was going to be employable. After 10 years in the business world I went back to school to become a teacher. I started as an elementary and special education teacher before moving into school administration. I came to the Windham Regional Career Center as the special needs coordinator because I wanted to be able to spend more time with students, and after a year I became the director. For me the value of career and technical education is undeniable for all students.
