My drive and focus revolve around helping people consider what they want out of life and how to achieve it - through experiences, mistakes, exploring options, having hard conversations, and the awkward ones too. I have worked as a dishwasher, a machine operator for a plastics company, in packing/shipping, in stage building, as a math teacher, and more. With part-time schedules, 12 hr. shifts, salaried pay, and so on....along with six years of teaching mathematics in high school. I've seen an invaluable perspective on what young adults face and how that compares to what we expect from them.
Outside of school, I use my time to enjoy nature through biking, hiking, gardening, landscaping and more. I take part in many forms of crafts, most often through knitting but including small construction. I also volunteer for a lot of stuff. I just love learning new things and being a part of what people are doing!
