Lucas
Speno
At just 17, Lucas Speno is already shaping his path toward innovation. A proud member of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Program III at the Windham Regional Career Center, Lucas thrives in hands-on environments where imagination becomes reality. What drew him in was the power to create-anything he could envision, he could bring to life with precision tools and engineering skill.
For Lucas, the Career Center isn’t just a classroom – it’s a launchpad. The real-world experience and professional opportunities have fueled his ambition to attend Vermont State University, where he plans to earn a Manufacturing Engineering degree.
Currently, Lucas is putting his skills to the test through a Work-Based Learning experience with GS Precision, where he’s gaining firsthand exposure to the standards and practices of advanced manufacturing. The experience allows him to apply what he’s learned in class while earning both money and college credits – a true head start on his professional journey.
Driven, curious, and inventive, Lucas represents the next generation of makers who don’t just dream about the future – they build it.
